JASON BARBECK - Detective Rollins (Producer/Writer/Director)
JASON BARBECK has been acting and performing professionally for over thirty years. After living in the U.S. for a number of years, he returned to study at one of Canada’s top music theatre schools, Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario, just outside of Toronto.
During the summers and after graduation, Jason worked summer stock theatre and the casino circuit doing everything from Broadway shows to boy-band and heartthrob tributes. This lead him into film television and voice-over work. His voice has endorsed hundreds of National products from McDonalds to Mercedes to cartoons and movie trailers.
After co-producing and co-hosting a four part factual talk show called IN THE ROOM he co-wrote directed and produced the award winning feature film ADAMS TESTAMENT based on a short story that Jason wrote years earlier. He also co-wrote and performed the theme song to the film. He then co-founded The Canadian International Faith and Family Film Festival (CIFF) in Toronto Canada. After a successful inaugural opening with film submissions from all around the world and endorsements from ®Academy Award winners and such actors as KIEFER SUTHERLAND, COLM FEORE, GRAHAM GREENE and RAY LIOTTA, CIFF was also mentioned on FOX News to over 11 million viewers.
He has had the pleasure of working along side such artists such as DAVID CRONENBERG, GUILLERMO DEL TORO, VIGGO MORTENSEN, WILLIAM HURT, MARK WAHLBERG, DONNIE WAHLBERG and LIZA MINELLI to name a few. Between all that he is devoted to his family.
GERALD AUGER - Watcher (Executive Producer)
Gerald has spent over 25 years in the film and television industry. His most notable roles include Pawnee Killer in AMC’s Hell on Wheels, Timothy Whiteknife in Tin Star (HBO), and Chief Wandering Spirit in Bones of Crows (CBC). Other major credits include Into the West (Dreamworks), Dreamkeeper (Hallmark), and the award-winning short Lost Face, which made the Oscar Top 10 shortlist in 2019. Beyond acting, Gerald is an acclaimed writer, producer, and director. His directorial debut, Walking Alone, explored the reality of Indigenous gangs and earned him Best Film and Best Director honors. In 2008, he followed this with Honour Thy Father, a documentary that won Best Film Representing Cultural Diversity. His latest documentary Spirit of the Medicine, healing with land-based medicines is slated to be released in 2026. BRIAN KAULBACK - Detective Fred Black (Executive Producer)
After seeing his older brother Gary in a high-school production of My Fair Lady, Brian knew that acting was what he wanted to do so he followed suit doing high-school plays, community theatre and then landing his first professional theatre gig with the Carousel Players in St. Catherine's, Ontario.
While working together on Murdoch Mysteries, Brian approached Jason Barbeck with a story concept about a First Nations cop partnering with a disgruntled city
Cop to solve missing cases. The result was Forensic Fringe Cop. A short proof of concept film that has now developed into The Watcher.
Brian's recent credits include playing Santa Claus in the super hero film Shazam and a toxic old man in the new Disney series based on a cartoon novel called Y: The Last Man. Brian is still very active and ready to keep moving forward.
DALE HILDEBRAND - Director Of Photography (Producer)
Dale Hildebrand is the recipient of over 50 international awards & nominations ranging from Best Picture, Best Director, Best Family Film, Best Cinematographer, a Canadian Screen Awards Nomination, 3 Gemini Nominations and a Gemini win. Dale produced, directed, wrote and DP'd the visually stunning T O IN 2 4 (28 International wins and nominations), and his multi-award-winning feature, ROAD TO THE LEMON GROVE, was the highest grossing Canadian film per theatre during its extended theatrical run. He has filmed in countries around the world - ranging from wildlife footage in Africa, to being entrenched behind enemy lines in Afghanistan, filming live extractions of CIA operatives. Dale has a great rapport with cast, kids and crew alike. He is creative, collaborative, a problem solver, pushes for excellence, and always delivers.
