Mike, a prisoner in Viet Nam, reveals to his new cell mate Ray, his secret weapon for survival –the Latin tap code. Having spread the code to the other captives, the prisoners communicate by tapping messages through the prison walls. Mike receives a message asking if he knows any Bible verses. Mike answers “no”. The tapper then asks if Ray knows one. Recalling childhood memory work with his mother, Ray answers “yes,” revealing his own secret weapon. Ray recites, Mike claps the cup, the verse is relayed from cell to cell. Eventually, hearing rapping on the opposite wall, Mike deciphers the new message “m-o-r-e,” unveiling the suffering man’s hunger for the Word of God.
